Tapas Talks held its third event for the 2022 season on Oct. 27 at Allegheny Country Club.

Leslie Braksick, co-founder and senior partner of MyNextSeason provided a presentation entitled “Creating a Blueprint for What’s Next.”

The evening started with a social hour featuring delicious tapas. Tapas Talks board member Holly M. Hampe welcomed guests and introduced Braksick, who provided attendees with a way to strategically transition well during important milestones such as early career, executive and retirement. She stressed that creating a blueprint for the transitions requires a purpose, good health, appropriate companionship, deep faith and reactivating old muscles. She was able to provide advice in order to “finish well” with these transitions.

At the end of the presentation, the audience was invited to submit questions to Braksick. After the lecture, there was a question and answer period moderated by Hampe. It was announced that the flyer for the 2023 speaker series will be sent out by the end of 2022.

Tapas Talks is a non-profit organization to “inform, inspire, connect and give back” to the community through a speaker series. Thanks to generous sponsors First National Bank, Heritage Valley Health System, Wilpen Hall, Eat’n Park, Sewickley Public Library, and Michael J. Hatcher/Hampe, Tapas Talks was able to give honorariums to the speaker. The speaker donated the honorarium to Quaker Valley School District, Community Youth Worker’s Discretionary Fund.
