A realignment of Shaler’s township administration is continuing under its new manager, Judy Kording.
Commissioners on Oct. 14 hired Sharon Lobosco as administrative assistant. Her salary was set at $44,000, and she is scheduled to start on Nov. 10.
Lobosco, an administrative assistant coming to the township from a kitchen design firm, will replace Melanie Crawford.
Crawford will be promoted within the next month to director of administrative services, Kording said.
Kording, who was promoted from assistant manager to manager in August, said she is working to realign the township’s administrative staffing over the next one to two years.
The format Kording said she wants to put in place is to have a manager, director of administrative services, director of finance, a finance assistant and an administrative assistant.
The township currently is searching for a new assistant manager to replace Kording. Applications are being accepted until the position is filled.
“Ideally, we would love to have an assistant manager by Jan. 1,” Kording said.
Kording expects to work with a new assistant manager who can succeed her when she retires in 18 to 24 months.
