A Saturday night shooting in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood sent one man to a hospital.

Police said they found the 39-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his upper thigh when they responded to a report of the shooting at about 8:30 p.m. on Allen Street.

The man, who was on the front porch of a house, was alert and conscious and spoke with officers. He was in stable condition when medics took him to the hospital, according to police.

Officers investigated a second crime scene elsewhere on Allen Street, near Proctor Way. No other injuries were reported, police said.

Detectives with the city’s Violent Crime Unit are investigating.
