Skateboarding teen hospitalized after being hit by vehicle in Ingram

A teenage boy is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle while skateboarding Wednesday evening, according to the Allegheny County Police Department.

First responders found the 15-year-old injured at the intersection of Winlock Avenue and Joel Street in Ingram around 5:45 p.m.

He was taken to an area hospital. The driver of the vehicle involved in the crash remained on the scene.

Homicide detectives are investigating. Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call the County Police Tip Line 1-833-255-8477 (ALL-TIPS.) Callers can remain anonymous.
