South Hills Chorale concert

The South Hills Chorale will present a free concert at 6 p.m. Aug. 8, at the Black Ashes shelter (Farm Show Drive) in South Park. The concert is being held by the Chorale in celebration of their joyous return to rehearsals as they prepare for the Holiday Concert in December. The Aug. 8 performance will be a sampling of the wide variety of music they present. Bring a picnic basket for dinner or snacks, as refreshments will not be served or available at the site. Legislative Lunch

The South Hills Chamber of Commerce will host Sen. Devlin Robinson, Rep. Natalie Mihalek, Rep. Dan Miller, District Judge Ron Arnoni and other local elected officials for an engaging and informative discussion and update on the status of relevant legislation in the works that will enhance opportunities for businesses. The Legislative Lunch will take place Aug. 18 at St. Clair Country Club. For more information or to register, call 412-848-2053.

Vacation Bible School

Greenock United Methodist Church in Elizabeth Township will host a new concept of Vacation Bible School designed for age groups on certain days following the circus theme “Big & Bold-Courageous Faith.”

Class sizes will be limited.

Campers will start their days at 9:30 a.m. and end at noon.

• Ages 3 and 4 will meet Aug. 9.

• Students completing kindergarten, first and second grade will gather Aug. 10-11.

• Students who finished third, fourth, fifth and sixth grades will enjoy activities Aug. 12-13.

• A Family Night with ice cream treats will be held outdoors for all campers accompanied by their parents and/or guardians starting at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 13.

The leadership aims to provide a safe, fun and healthy environment following prevailing CDC guidelines for the coronavirus.
