Fire crews responded to a fire at the 700 block of Scott Road in Mt. Lebanon Friday afternoon.

The fire was reported around 1 p.m., according to an Allegheny County 911 dispatcher.

No one was injured and the cause of the fire is still under investigation, the dispatcher said.

A large portion of the roof collapsed in the blaze and several windows were damaged.

One neighbor said she thought she heard fireworks before realizing the sound was coming from the burning house a few doors down.

As firefighters battled the fire, a portion of Scott Road was closed from Washington Road to Rosemont Avenue.

A public information officer with the Mt. Lebanon Police Department could not immediately be reached for comment.
