Skeletal remains found a recreational trail in Jefferson Hills in early January have been identified as a man who had been missing since mid-November.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office late Wednesday identified the man as Dorian Serrano, 19. No hometown was given.

On Jan. 2, police said they found the remains while searching for Serrano, but they could not immediately identify them. The discovery was made in a wooded area along the Montour Trail.

Police had begun searching for him Nov. 17.

The medical examiner did not list a cause or manner of death.
