Special events coming to Hampton
Plenty of special events are just around the corner in Hampton.
The season’ second Pints in the Park event will take place 5 to 9 p.m. June 28 in the parking lot next to the Hampton Community Center.
Strange Roots Experimental Ales presents the event. Scheduled food trucks are Pittsburgh Smoke House, Pita My Shawarma, Kona Ice and PGH Crepes
Live music is by the Felt Like, and circus performer O’Ryan the O’Mazing provides further entertainment. Face painting will be offered for children.
There is no cost to attend. More Pints in the Park events are scheduled for July 26, Aug. 23 and Sept. 27.
On June 30, the Depreciation Lands Museum will host a special Independence Day celebration, featuring a reading of the Declaration of Independence in the historic village of Talley Cavey.
Festivities begin at 1 p.m. and the reading takes place at 3. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children, and members always are admitted free.

Hampton Community Day is scheduled starting at 4 p.m. July 3, wrapping up with an evening fireworks display. Attractions will be held on the Hampton Community Park soccer fields.
Featured are inflatable attractions, along with community and food vendors.
Scheduled music performers are No Bad JuJu from 4 to 6 p.m. and Sail On, a Beach Boys tribute band, from 7 to 9:30.
The park’s outdoor pool will be open from 11 a.m. 4 p.m. Community Day pool fees are $3 for members and $7 for nonmembers.
