Warren Goss of Ohio Township (center) served in the U.S. Army in World War II on D-Day, June 6, 1944 in Normandy, France. Goss was awarded a Bronze Star for helping a wounded soldier. He also was awarded the French Legion of Honor, the highest honor bestowed on both civilian and military personnel for service to France.
