A suspect in connection with the fatal stabbing of a Clairton man was arrested Friday in Rochester, N.Y.

Sabr Cree Ellis, 21, of Clairton is accused of killing Anthony Koontz, 55.

The stabbing in the 400 block of Mendelssohn Avenue was reported about 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Allegheny County Police said. First responders found Koontz dead at the scene.

Ellis and Koontz lived together, police said.

Investigators said there had been a struggle in the home before the stabbing.

Ellis is accused of stealing Koontz’s car. He and the vehicle were found Friday in Rochester.

County police charged Ellis with criminal homicide, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property.
