Tour of Wexford gardens and ponds offered on July 8
Twelve gardens and ponds in the Wexford area will be showcased during a tour on Saturday, July 8 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The tour can be self-guided or taken by a VIP coach.
This year, six kitchens, both indoor and outdoor, are included on the tour.
Graeters Ice Cream shop in Wexford at the Whole Foods Shopping plaza is the starting point for the tour. Maps may be picked up from 9:30 to noon on July 8. All homes are within a 15-20 minute drive of the shop.
“We’re so fortunate to have six new gardens this year as well as six fan favorites,” said Debra Dion Krischke, event producer. “Having seen them all, I can safely say this tour will offer a day well spent, simply enjoying or learning from these knowledgeable and creative property owners.”
A percentage of the proceeds will support clean water projects in Uganda through CEED-Trust.org as well as a girls school in Pakistan through ZWEEFoundation.org.
Major sponsors include Eichenlaub Inc. landscaping, Soergel Landscape and Aquascapes, Kozi Media and MDL Landscape Management.
The event is also supported by two organizations, Inspired Women Paying it Forward and the Greybrook Garden Club.
The price of $40 per ticket for the self-guided tour until July 1 and is $45 afterward. The coach tour is $125 per ticket until July 1 and $150 afterward.
There will be a $1.50 processing fee per ticket.
