A Turtle Creek man pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court to conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl.
Jonathan Toledo, 24, will be sentenced by U.S. District Judge Marilyn J. Horan on March 11.
According to federal prosecutors, the investigation into the drug trafficking ring lasted more than a year and dated to November 2023.
Ten people were charged in July with drug trafficking, including Toledo, and two residents of Homestead. The other defendants live in Los Angeles, Detroit and central Pennsylvania.
According to prosecutors, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service interdicted two parcels in December 2024 containing drugs.
One of them, the government said, contained nearly 1,300 grams of pure methamphetamine, while the other contained 12 grams of fentanyl.
Toledo was intercepted making phone calls, including to the post office, about the intercepted parcels. He told people he was missing two packages that had been shipped from California, the government said.
