An arrest warrant has been issued for a Monroeville man who police say beat a man with a pistol Wednesday at a hotel in Plum.
Plum police charged Timothy Eden Bell, 30, on Thursday with two counts of felony aggravated assault.
According to a criminal complaint, officers responded to the Super 8 motel on Golden Mile Highway around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday.
The victim was found in a stairwell landing, bleeding profusely from the right side of his head, police said. He was taken to Forbes Regional Hospital.
The victim was not able to answer questions because of how badly he had been hurt, police said in the complaint.
According to the complaint, footage from a camera in a motel hallway showed the victim and Bell entering a room shortly after 10:30 p.m. and coming out fighting two minutes later. Bell is seen holding a gun.
Bell is seen hitting the other man six times in the head with the gun, the complaint states. He tries to rack his pistol and chases the victim down the hallway out of sight.
Police identified Bell from a license found at the scene and from the camera footage. Bell does not have a permit to carry a concealed weapon, the complaint states.
Police did not provide a description of Bell. In court records, he is described as Black, 6 feet 2 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
