The garden at St. Joseph High School in Natrona Heights will forever honor one of the school’s graduates.

On Monday, Bishops Mark Eckman of the Diocese of Pittsburgh and Larry Kulick of the Diocese of Greensburg joined to bless the garden in memory of Domenico Schiano di Cola, co-owner of J&S Pizza in Harrison, who died suddenly while on vacation with his family in Italy in 2024.

Schiano di Cola, 29, was extremely popular with customers and the public, known for his kindness, outgoing nature and desire to help others.

He was a 2013 graduate of St. Joseph. He earned a business management degree from Saint Vincent College in 2017 and stepped into an ownership role at J&S Pizza.

The garden at the high school was created to honor Schiano di Cola. In addition, his family started a scholarship fund to benefit St. Joseph students.
