Charges were withdrawn on Tuesday against a Parks Township man accused of firing a shot at a woman who was with a group of family members gathering to make funeral arrangements for his father.

State police charged Jeffrey Lynn Walker, 38, of the 1200 block of Ridge Road with a felony count of aggravated assault along with counts of simple assault, reckless endangerment and making terroristic threats.

Walker was arrested Oct. 1 and detained in the Armstrong County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 cash bail until Dec. 19 when a professional bondsman posted a bond on his behalf.

The charges were withdrawn during a preliminary hearing Tuesday before District James Andring, according to court records.
