Allegheny Valley School District Superintendent Patrick Graczyk read a classic story, “The Night Before Christmas,” to kindergarten students at Acmetonia Elementary School in Harmar on Thursday.

Students wore their pajamas as part of the tradition that’s been happening for about a decade.

Graczyk and the students shared what they were excited about for the upcoming holiday. He also shared with students the importance of kindness and gave their teachers gift cards to Starbucks.

“You will need the caffeine to get through the next few days,” Graczyk quipped.
