Kiski Township police say they found and arrested a convicted rapist Friday who broke parole and was hiding in the bathroom of a township home.

Township police and authorities with the Armstrong County parole and probation department arrested Frank Shaner without incident at a home along Isabella Avenue and took him to the Armstrong County Jail.

Shaner’s last residence was in Latrobe, said Kiski Township police Sgt. Thomas Dessell.

Formerly of Apollo, Shaner, 21, was convicted in Armstrong County Court earlier this year of raping a teen girl with a mental disability.

Details on the charges of Shaner’s recent arrest are pending.
