A Fawn man who was arrested in 2019 was sentenced to 10 to 30 years in prison after being found guilty of repeatedly sexually assaulting two young children.
Douglas Charles Simoncic Jr., 32, of Iron Bridge Lane was found guilty Oct. 11 in Allegheny County Common Pleas Court of two counts each of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor and indecent assault of a child under 13, along with a count of aggravated indecent assault, all of which are felonies.
He was sentenced by Judge Bruce R. Beemer on Jan. 5, according to court documents.
An Allegheny County Police detective wrote in a criminal complaint that he and a representative from Pittsburgh Action Against Rape interviewed the children in June 2016 about the assaults that occurred around 2008, when Simoncic was 17.
One of the children said Simoncic molested them three times. The other child told investigators they were sexually assaulted by Simoncic on at least five occasions over the course of a year.
Both said Simoncic asked them not to tell anybody about the encounters because it was “our little game,” the complaint said.
