A house fire Friday night on Zandona Street in Plum prompted a large response from fire companies in neighboring communities.

The fire was reported shortly before 8 p.m. on the 700 block of Zandona in the borough’s Logans Ferry Heights neighborhood.

Logans Ferry Heights Fire Chief Stephen Marsh said the multiple responding companies had the fire knocked down in about 10 minutes.

No injuries were reported. There initially was a concern that someone may have been trapped inside but that turned out not to be the case.

Among the fire companies seen at the scene, in addition to Plum’s, were from Lower Burrell, New Kensington, and Oakmont. Plum police also responded.
