Work to improve traffic signals on Route 910 and Freeport Road in Harmar is scheduled to begin Tuesday, resulting in traffic restrictions, according to PennDOT.
Single-lanes restrictions will be in place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on weekdays from Tuesday through June 2020 at intersections along Route 910 from Freeport Road to southbound Route 28 on- and off-ramps and along Freeport Road from the Hulton Bridge to Alpha Drive East.
Crews from Bronder Technical Services will conduct the adaptive traffic signal installation work.
Adaptive signal upgrades uses real-time traffic information via sensors to control the duration and change of red, yellow and green lights, according to PennDOT.
The adaptive signal control technologies accommodate changing traffic patterns and ease traffic congestion, according to the agency’s website.
