Harmar police are looking for a car that struck a pedestrian Thursday night.
A 28-year-old woman, who police have not identified, was struck by a vehicle on Freeport Road around 10:13 p.m., Police Chief Jason Domaratz told TribLive.
The woman was using a crosswalk near Alpha Drive West to get to a bus shelter when she was hit, Domaratz said.
The woman was taken to the hospital, where she is in critical but stable condition, Domaratz said.
The driver fled the scene, the chief said.
Domaratz said police are hoping to get video footage from nearby businesses Friday for additional details on the incident. Police believe the car was a dark-colored, four-door sedan. Its front end is likely damaged from the crash, Domaratz said.
The car was traveling north along Freeport Road when it hit the woman, he said, and police believe it got on the Turnpike at the Allegheny Valley interchange following the hit.
