Harmar to pave five streets this summer
Five streets in Harmar will be paved as part of the township’s road program this summer.
Supervisors awarded the contract to Youngblood Paving at a cost of $94,345.
Pine Alley, Orr Avenue, Wenzel Drive, as well as the cul-de-sacs of the Shadow Ridge and Forest Highlands housing plans are included in this year’s plan.
Officials have previously said these roads were selected because of either aging, cracks, excessive patch work or damage from sewer repairs.
Supervisors are also seeking state grant money to do work on Dremel Road this year, but it wasn’t included in the paving contract so it could remain eligible for the grants. The township received a grant last year to fix the drainage on the road.
