Several key hires are in place for the Kiski Area School District administrative reorganization set to take effect July 1.

Four administrators were appointed to new or modified roles by the school board on Wednesday:

• Chad Roland to assistant to the superintendent for K-12 education and safety at $158,190 per year

• Brian Swartzlander Jr. to director of curriculum 7-12 at a $144,283 annual salary

• Richard Liberto to assistant to the superintendent for finance and operations at a $135,000 salary

• Emily Mather to director of curriculum K-6 and federal programs at $125,000 per year

The district will seek replacements for Roland and Swartzlander, who serve as principals of the high school and upper elementary school, respectively.

Curriculum responsibilities, currently held by Mather in their entirety, will be split between Mather and Swartzlander.

Introduced by Superintendent Jason Lohr, the slimmed-down organization chart received school board approval April 17.

It eliminates Lohr’s former post of assistant superintendent and does not call for a new director of safety and security following the retirement of John Tedorski last year.
