On the heels of a unity rally earlier this summer, Lower Valley communities are banding together to stand against racism with a T-shirt fundraiser.
Hosted by Aspinwall Neighborhood Watch (ANW) and Fox Chapel Area Residents for Social Justice, the sale of T-shirts and stickers will benefit the fight for equality.
The gray T-shirts feature a brown fox curled into the shape of a heart and emblazoned with the words Stand Against Racism. Prices starts at $22.
“ANW is committed to building and supporting a diverse and inclusive community that is welcoming to all our neighbors,” said Sarah Shaffer, ANW spokeswoman. “Recent events have made it clear that there is much work to do to that end, and we are happy for the opportunity to support local organizations committed to social justice.”
Proceeds will benefit the ACLU of Pennsylvania and the Social Justice Fund at the Pittsburgh Foundation.
T-shirts and 4-inch round stickers with the same emblem will be printed by DRE Media Works, a Pittsburgh-based company. Stickers cost $3.
Deadline to order is July 31 at anwneighbors.square.site/social-justice-fundraiser.
