Police are looking for an Arnold man after they say he stabbed a man Thursday night in New Kensington.

New Kensington police charged Isiah Jumaane Hampton, 28, with two counts of aggravated assault, three counts of recklessly endangering another person, simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Allegheny Valley Hospital in Harrison notified New Kensington police around 10:20 p.m. Thursday that a man with stab wounds was brought to the hospital and said he had been stabbed in New Kensington.

The man had stabs and cuts to his face, arms, chest, groin and legs, police said in a criminal complaint. He was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he was later found to have a punctured lung, according to a criminal complaint.

City surveillance cameras recorded the fight between the victim and Hampton, police said in the complaint. Hampton was identified as the suspect through the video and statements from the victim and witnesses.

Police said their investigation found that the victim had been traveling in a car with his girlfriend and two acquaintances, one of whom was Hampton, around 9:20 p.m. The victim and Hampton were arguing over “disrespect,” the complaint states.

Both men got out of the vehicle and fought at Seventh Street and Constitution Boulevard, during which Hampton appears to take something out of a pocket and both fell to the ground. The victim got up and staggered back into the vehicle. Hampton also reentered the vehicle, which then left the area, the complaint states.

The victim was taken to the hospital in a personal vehicle.

In court paperwork, Hampton is described as Black, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
