Masked thieves made away with $60,000 in Yamaha motorcycles from a Fawn business early Sunday using a U-Haul box truck emblazoned with a camel graphic for their getaway.
Owner Ryan Lojak said four suspects stole six bikes, broke a glass door and busted through a garage door.
They were caught on surveillance video about 2:20 a.m. at Lojaks Cycle Sales along Route 908.
“We have full footage of everything,” he said. “Three of them actually broke into the building. The fourth person, a driver, only stepped out of the truck to help them load a bike.”
They were covered head to toe in black clothing.
Stolen items include five 2024 motorcycles and a 2025 model. Lojak posted the vehicle identification numbers on Facebook so other motorcycle dealers can be on the lookout for the stolen bikes.
“They covered the license plate and ID numbers on the U-Haul, but police were able to track them to the PA Turnpike,” he said. “From that, we’re thinking they are out-of-towners, but you never know.”
State police from Kittanning said the investigation is ongoing.
The inventory was stolen from inside the building. Lojak said online lists of items are updated regularly so the robbers most likely were targeting the bikes they wanted.
In the 50 years his business has operated, it’s been hit by thieves about three times, most recently before covid.
“That time wasn’t nearly as bad,” Lojak said.
He is urging the community to keep an eye out for anything suspicious and particularly encouraged other motorsports store owners to be aware.
“If they don’t get caught, they will keep doing it,” Lojak said. “You can tell by the footage they knew what they were doing.”
