Multiple rescue crews were called early Thursday to battle a fire at a $1.25 million Fox Chapel home that was recently sold to new owners.

Emergency crews responded just before 5 a.m. to the 600 block of West Waldheim Road, which sits off Delafield Road above Aspinwall.

No injuries were reported, according to Allegheny County dispatchers. They said the scene was clear by 9:30 a.m.

The fire is under investigation, said Kasey Reigner, public information officer for the county department of emergency services.

Neighbors told TribLive partner, WTAE, that the nearly 100-year-old home was under renovation and that no one was home at the time of the fire.

According to the county real estate website, the home was sold in August.
