New Kensington police are looking for a man they say assaulted a woman with a gun, threatened to kill her and then offered to pay her to drop the charges.
Police charged Jadrian Race Wade, 30, of Woodmont Avenue with felony counts of aggravated assault and witness intimidation, court records show. He also is charged with making terroristic threats and harassment.
According to court records, a woman reported March 12 that Wade had assaulted her with a gun at a residence on Freeport Road. The woman told police Wade grabbed her by the hair and slammed her face into a window. He then slapped her, causing her to fall, court documents state.
Once she was on the ground, the woman told police, Wade brandished a gun and hit her on the back of her head with it. She told police he then pointed the gun at the back of her head and threatened to kill her, according to court records.
Police advised the woman to get a protection from abuse order and to call 911 if Wade returns.
The next day, the woman told police Wade had been calling her. He is alleged to have told her to drop the charges or he would come to her home, then offered to pay her to drop the charges, court records state.
Wade was not in custody as of Wednesday, according to court records.
