New Kensington police accuse man of raping girl he knew was 14
A New Kensington man is accused of raping a girl just over a year ago when he was 18 and she was 14.
New Kensington police charged Nasai Minan Parker-Hill, now 19, of New Kensington on Thursday with rape and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse by forcible compulsion, sexual assault, indecent assault and corruption of minors.
Parker-Hill was arraigned Friday before New Kensington District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr., who set his bail at $75,000. He was sent to the Westmoreland County Jail.
Police were alerted to the alleged assault the morning of March 3, 2023, when the girl was at Allegheny Valley Hospital in Harrison. She told police the assault happened late the previous night and identified Parker-Hill as her assailant, according to a criminal complaint.
Police said they received videos showing Parker-Hill arriving at the girl’s residence that night and leaving 20 minutes later.
During a forensic interview, the girl told police that Parker-Hill came to her home and went into her bedroom despite her telling him not to, the complaint states.
Parker-Hill attacked and raped the girl in her bedroom and knew her age, police said.
An officer spoke with Parker-Hill on April 13 at his home, the complaint states. When told that the girl was making accusations against him, Parker-Hill said he had sex with the girl’s friend and that he told the girl she was too young, police said.
On May 4, police obtained a search warrant for a DNA sample from Parker-Hill, which they got the same day. His DNA was identified in evidence taken according to the criminal complaint.
Parker-Hill’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 9 before Pallone.
