New Kensington’s Community Clothes Closet marks 10 years of helping those in need

Christina Discello, 59, of New Kensington is the director of the Community Clothes Closet, a ministry of Mount St. Peter Parish in New Kensington.

Donated clothes for children fill a room at the Community Clothes Closet in New Kensington. Located in the former Mary Queen of Apostles school on Kenneth Avenue, the closet’s inventory includes uniforms for students attending the Catholic school, now located in the former Greenwald Elementary School.

Shoes are among the items available at Community Clothes Closet, which will mark 10 years in New Kensington on Dec. 11.
