It’s a fundraiser with an emphasis on fun.

The Arnold Volunteer Engine Company #2 is offering a party bus package fundraiser, featuring a 26-passenger party bus from Extreme Limousines in Lower Burrell.

The unique fundraiser prize is in response to what company volunteer and secretary Chris O’Leath said is a need to replenish lost funds from covid-19 pandemic cancellations.

“We didn’t have our fundraisers in 2020 and we lost more than $100,000 in 2020,” O’Leath said.“People don’t realize what it costs to operate this business (fire company),” he said.

The winner can invite 20 friends to ride along on a six-hour party-themed evening and select their prize from three packages: a winery tour , brewery tour or no tour and a $1,000 gift card.

Package A includes stops at the following local Alle-Kiski Valley wineries: Narcisi, Edgewood and Wooden Door and $1,000 in combined winery gift cards.

Package B will whisk guests off to their choice of three local breweries: Cellar Works, Allusion, Conny Creek or Hitch Hiker, Old Thunder and Acclamation and $1,000 in combined brewery gift cards.

The wine and brewery tours are not available to those under the age of 21.

The 26-passenger bus features a multi-light package, wrap-around seating, a bar area and large screen television with surround sound music.

O’Leath said the total value of the party package is about $3,200 and the fire company will make about $800 from the donations received from 200 tips.

The winner will be selected during a live Facebook reveal after all 200 tips are sold.

“We had people purchasing chances on our last fundraiser (a drone) from Ohio and West Virginia and all kinds of different areas,” O’Leath said.

All winners must be 21 or older and a resident of Pennsylvania to participate.

The winner is allowed to bring their own alcohol or drinks on the bus.

A donation of $20 per tip is required.

Sure tips use a board and the “pull tab” serves as the physical ticket, along with the email receipt.

Gratuities for the party bus driver are included in the prize.

The bus may not be booked during holidays and is subject to availability.

The six-hour timeframe will begin from the time the limo bus leaves the garage on Leechburg Road in Lower Burrell.

Extreme Limousines owner John Valasek partnered with the VFC because his daughter, a paramedic, mentioned the fundraiser opportunity.

Valasek donated an additional two hours to the original four-hour package and said he wanted to help the fire company replenish their lost funds from 2020.

“I wanted it to be a nice long evening for the people,” Valasek said. “When I heard they wanted to do the fundraiser I definitely wanted to help them out.”
