Plum police are asking for the public’s help to identify a man seen at the scene of the burglary of a house of worship in May.
The burglary at the Imamia Organization of Pittsburgh on Pierson Run Road happened May 21 and was reported to police May 23, police Chief Lanny Conley said.
Established in 1998, the Imamia Organization of Pittsburgh is a nonprofit Islamic institution serving the Shia Muslim community in Western Pennsylvania, according to its website.
According to Conley, someone forced their way into the building through a rear door. Electronic equipment was taken.
No one was present at the time of the burglary, Conley said.
The man’s face cannot be seen in surveillance images released by police. He was wearing a face covering and a bucket hat.
A white Dodge pickup with an extended cab and a bed cover also was seen, but no license plate was given.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Danny Moriarty at dmoriarty@plumboro.com.
