A man was accused of being a drug dealer after agents raided an apartment in New Kensington and then his home in Brackenridge and found nearly 13 ounces of cocaine along with packaging material and paraphernalia.

Chaz Terryl Wilburn, 41, of the 800 block of Brackenridge Avenue was charged with four felony and four misdemeanor drug counts.

He was being detained in the Westmoreland County jail in lieu of a $150,000 cash bond to await a preliminary hearing before District Judge Frank J. Pallone Jr. on Oct. 26, according to court records.

Police wrote in a criminal complaint that on Oct. 9, New Kensington police and agents from the state Attorney General’s Office and the Westmoreland County Drug Task Force were at an apartment in the 400 block of 11th Street to serve a search warrant when they spotted Wilson trying to drive off.

Agents detained Wilburn and searched the apartment, where they found a bag with 67 grams of powdered cocaine and one with 45 grams of crack cocaine along with a digital scale, a money counter and a large amount of material used to package drugs for sale, the complaint said.

Investigators said they got a second search warrant for Wilburn’s primary home in Brackenridge and found a bag with 256 grams of powdered cocaine, one with 38 grams of marijuana, packaging material and a little more than $3,000 in cash, the complaint said.
