Allegheny County Police are investigating after a man was stabbed Tuesday evening in West Deer.

The 60-year-old victim was taken to Allegheny Valley Hospital in Harrison with multiple stab wounds. He was being treated in stable condition, according to Jim Madalinsky, county police public information officer.

West Deer police were called to the hospital just before 6:20 p.m.

Chief Robert Loper said officers requested assistance from county police. Detectives are working to determine where the stabbing occurred, Madalinsky said.

“We do not have any additional information to share at this time,” Madalinsky said Thursday afternoon.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call the county police tip line at 833-ALL-TIPS (255-8477).
