Police investigating shooting in Plum

Allegheny County police are investigating a shooting early Tuesday in Plum in which multiple shots were fired into a home along Renton Road.

Plum Assistant Police Chief Mark Focareta said officers responded to a call at about 1 a.m. after dispatchers were notified of shots fired in the area of Renton Road and Apple Avenue.

Officers discovered multiple rounds were fired into a residence in the 1500 block of Renton Road, he said.

The residence was occupied by two residents.

Police said one man suffered a minor leg injury but did not require treatment.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the county police Tip Line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
