A search is underway for an Apollo man who police said crashed a stolen car in a residential yard in Kiski Township.

At about 5:45 p.m. on Friday, Korry Reese, 35, crashed the car in the yard along Canal Road and fled just as a Kiski Township police officer arrived, according to a township release.

The car, which was stolen in Tarentum, had meth-related paraphernalia inside, the release said.

Police found Melissa Wilson, 38, of Apollo, still in the car after the crash. Wilson allegedly lied to police about Reese’s identity.

The police release doesn’t indicate what caused the crash, whether Reese or Wilson were injured in the crash, and if any damage was done to the residential property.

This isn’t Reese’s first alleged encounter with local police. Reese had outstanding arrest warrants for fleeing and eluding in Vandergrift and for drug and weapon-related charges in Kittanning.

A warrant is out for Reese’s arrest. He faces charges in the Kiski Township incident of flight to avoid apprehension, receiving stolen property, property-related accidents, driving with a DUI-suspended license, possession of drug paraphernalia and trespass by motor vehicle.

Wilson has been charged for receiving stolen property, making false reports to law enforcement and possessing drug paraphernalia.

Those with information regarding Reese’s whereabouts can contact Kiski Township police at 724-478-3357.
