A man from Homestead faces felony drug dealing charges after Arnold police and narcotics agents said they arrested him with more than 2 ounces of cocaine in his vehicle.

Marco Dane Crowe, 34, 0f the 100 block of West 10th Avenue, was charged with two felony counts of possession of drugs with the intent to deliver as well as a count of possession of a controlled substance.

He is being detained in Westmoreland County jail after failing to post the $150,000 cash bond that was set during his preliminary arraignment before District Judge Frank Pallone Jr. on April 7, according to court records.

Crowe faces an April 21 preliminary hearing on the charges before Pallone.

Investigators said agents from the state Attorney General’s Office and officers with the Westmoreland County Drug Task Force met April 7 to develop a plan to arrest Crowe for “trafficking cocaine” in Arnold and New Kensington, according to a criminal complaint.

Police said an informant set up a meeting that day to buy 2 ounces of cocaine from Crowe on April 7.

Officers were waiting for Crowe when he arrived at a predetermined location in the 100 block of Locust Street in a white GMC Terrain SUV shortly before 2 p.m., the complaint said.

Agents surrounded the vehicle and arrested Crowe after he parked, the complaint said.

Investigators said they found a bag with 56 grams of cocaine in Crowe’s jacket and a gram of cocaine in another pocket.

The substances came back positive when field tested for cocaine, police said.

Additional testing of the substances will be done by the state police crime lab, authorities said.
