A portion of Jacoby Road in Harmar will close Wednesday and remain closed for about three months, Allegheny County announced Tuesday.

The road will be closed between Rosedale Road and Ecker Lane. The closure is part of a $1.1 million bridge replacement project that also includes improvements to the pavement, guardrail and signage in the area.

The posted detour will use Nixon Road, Hite Road, Route 28, Route 910 and Rich Hill Road. O

Officials expect about another month of lane restrictions after the three-month closure.

The work was originally scheduled to be done earlier this year, but was delayed because of trout season. The bridge runs over Little Deer Creek.

The work is being done through the Allegheny County Public Works Department with Carmen Paliotta Contracting as the contractor.
