Purr-fect ending: Frankie’s Friends shelter cat finds home with Washington Township family in mourning

Maple, a cat that was named Myla while living at Frankie’s Friends Cat Rescue in New Kensington, bonds with 9-month-old Ruby Popp at her new home in Washington Township on Saturday, Jan. 29. Ruby’s parents, Chiarina and Jesse Popp, adopted Maple two weeks after the death of their cat, Pasta, which they also had taken in from Frankie’s Friends.
