Riverview Junior-Senior High School presents Mel Brooks' madcap 'Young Frankenstein'
Opening night was a hit for Riverview Junior-Senior High School’s drama students, who presented Mel Brooks’ “Young Frankenstein” to a nearly sold-out crowd Thursday.
More than 100 cast and crew members are involved in the monster-themed production.
The show, performed at the Tenth Street Elementary auditorium, transports the audience to Transylvania.
“At Riverview, we delight in introducing young people to the arts. We believe by unlocking a student’s imagination, we give them the power to envision a world better than the one in which we live,” director JohnPaul Bertucci said.
The madcap comedy includes dazzling lighting effects, colorful costumes, festive dance numbers and quirky one-liners.
Remaining show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
