A search for a missing Springdale man is expected to resume Wednesday morning after an extensive search Tuesday was unsuccessful.

Sean Dugan, 58, was reported missing by borough police Monday.

He is described as a white man with short hair and a goatee.

Harmar police Chief Jason Domaratz said Dugan’s vehicle, an Acura sedan, was found that evening in the township along Gulf Lab Road at the Bessemer Railroad entrance.

Officers searched Tuesday for Dugan throughout the town and in the Allegheny River.

Domaratz said Allegheny County Police used a drone. Cadaver dogs from Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group, as well as crews from the Blawnox fire department and others also assisted.

Tuesday’s search was called off around 5 p.m., Domaratz said.

Anyone with information about Dugan’s whereabouts should contact Harmar police at 724-274-5525 or Springdale police at 724-274-9022.
