A parade will be held through downtown New Kensington on Friday night for city native Skyy Moore, a member of this year’s Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs, the city announced Wednesday.
Moore, 22, is expected to attend and will be presented with a proclamation at the end of the parade, Mayor Tom Guzzo said.
The Chiefs defeated the Philadelphia Eagles, 38-35, in Super Bowl LVII on Feb. 12 at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz.
Moore scored a fourth-quarter touchdown.
Hosted by the city and its Recreation Commission, the parade will start at 6 p.m. at the corner of 11th Street and Fifth Avenue.
The parade will make its way down Fifth Avenue to Eighth Street, turn onto Fourth Avenue and head back to 10th Street, where the presentation to Moore will be made.
Moore is a 2019 graduate of Shady Side Academy, where he was a quarterback and cornerback. He went on to play at Western Michigan University, where he became a wide receiver. He was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022.

A rookie wide receiver for the Chiefs, Moore was wide open when he caught a 4-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes on a third-down play in the fourth quarter.
It was Moore’s first NFL career touchdown and the final touchdown of the season for the Chiefs.
