Investigators with the state Attorney General’s Office conducted an investigation at a New Kensington home Wednesday evening.

Attorney general’s agents were on scene at 918 Baldrick St., which is near the intersection of Stevenson Boulevard and Seventh Street.

The agents on scene were unable to comment.

New Kensington police Chief Robert Deringer referred questions to the Attorney General’s Office for information.

Brett Hambright, an Attorney General’s Office spokesman, confirmed the operation is part of an ongoing investigation. He offered no details.

The property owner, Gary Ross, said the officers on scene had a warrant, but they didn’t offer him any information, either.

Ross has rented out the home to the same tenant, a man and his two sons, for several years. He’s never had any issues with the three, he said.

After law enforcement officers kicked in the front door, Ross said they stayed on scene for several hours.

He called the incident an “unfortunate situation.”

The home sits near the end of a dead-end street with only one other home across the street and a small apartment building that is barely visible from the road.
