Holiday art on display at Peoples Library
Allegheny Valley League of Artists will have its holiday exhibit through the end of the year at the Lower Burrell location of Peoples Library, 3052 Wachter St.
Hours are 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays. Christmas purchases will benefit the library.
Food distribution set Tuesday at Lernerville Speedway
Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank will host a drive-through food distribution for anyone in need from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lernerville Speedway, 313 N. Pike Road.
No reservations are required. Guests should remain in their vehicles and open their door or trunk and will be served on a first come, first served basis.
Tickets on sale for Festival of Trees raffle
Allegheny Valley Hospital Auxiliary is selling tickets for its annual Festival of Trees raffle through Dec. 18 to benefit projects supporting the hospital.
Each hospital department decorates a tree to be raffled off and they are on display in the lobby. Tickets are 10 for $5 or 20 for $10 and can be purchased weekdays in the lobby of the hospital, 1301 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights. Cash or checks will be accepted. Winners receive a fully decorated tree. The drawing will be at 3 p.m. Dec. 18.

Tuesdays: A wellness class for those with Parkinson’s Disease will be offered from 1:15 to 2 p.m. at Valley Points Family YMCA, 800 Constitution Blvd. Sponsored by the Parkinson’s Foundation of Western Pennsylvania, the program is a mix of exercises designed to help manage Parkinson’s Disease and includes aerobic and resistance training, stretching, balance, facial and voice exercises. Dec. 31: Tarentum Elks will host a New Year’s Eve party at the lodge, 219 E. Sixth Ave. Doors open at 7 p.m. The Americana Band will be featured and there will be a food buffet, open bar and champagne toast at midnight.
