Gun safety seminar offered in Fawn
Pa. Representative Mandy Steele will sponsor a concealed carry permit and safety seminar from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. March 8 at the Fawn Volunteer Fire Hall No. 1, 1948 Firehouse Lane.
Those attending can obtain or renew their concealed carry permit from the Allegheny County Sheriff’s department and learn the rules and regulations regarding firearm transport and safety.
Applications should be downloaded from pahouse.com/steele, filled out and brought to the seminar.

Armstrong Conservation District to sponsor tree seedling sale
Armstrong Conservation District’s annual fruit tree and seedling sale will continue through March 7.
Fruit trees available include varieties of apple, nectarine, cherry, peach and pear. Fruit trees cost $25. Varieties are limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tree seedling varieties available include American elm, black chokeberry, Douglas fir, eastern white pine, gray dogwood and Norway spruce, all $25 each; and American sweet gum, chestnut oak, eastern red cedar, nannyberry viburnum, old fashioned lilac and sugar maple, $30, all for a bundle of 25 and includes tax. Proceeds benefit county environmental projects and activities.
