Springdale Snow and Property Angel program accepting registrations
Registrations are being accepted for the new Snow and Property Angel program in Springdale.
The program will match those in need with volunteers to help with snow removal from November through March and with light lawn care all other months.
Church groups, friends, families and individuals are encouraged to participate. Volunteers must be at least 15 years old or be accompanied by an adult while working, provide their own equipment and must sign a liability waiver. Each group is expected to complete at least one property assigned.
Residents who need a volunteer to assist them must complete an application and waiver that will be kept on file in the borough office. For more information and registration paperwork, visit springdaleborough.wixsite.com/site or Springdale Borough on Facebook.
Tickets available for Valentine’s dance
Freeport Community Park and Dynamic Community Foundation will host a Valentine’s dance from 6 p.m. to midnight Saturday at Laube Hall, 115 Community Park Road, Freeport.
Tickets are $50 and include dinner and refreshments. Music will be by the No Bad Juju band and there will be a basket auction and raffles.

Feb. 14: Our Lady, Queen of Peace Parish is selling tickets for a Sweetheart cash raffle. The winning numbers will be the 1:30 and 7 p.m. Pennsylvania Lottery Pick-4 numbers on Valentine’s Day.
