Paint fundraiser to benefit Animal Protectors

Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley will host a Paint Your Pet fundraiser at noon Feb. 2 at the shelter, 730 Church St., New Kensington.

Cost is $65 for a three-hour session and includes a pre-sketched canvas, and snacks. BYOB.

Information night planned at Lenape Tech

Lenape Technical School will host an adult education information night from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the school, 2215 Chaplin Ave., Manor Township.

Kiski Township

Leechburg

Monday: Leechburg Volunteer Fire Company will host bingo at 7 p.m. at the firehall, 268 Canal St. Doors open at 5 p.m. The kitchen will be open.

New Kensington 

Today: The Community Clothes Closet, 1129 Kenneth Ave., will be open from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Items available include clothing for all members of the family, shoes, linens, purses and handbags. Household items, dishes, appliances and books will no longer be accepted. Donations welcome during business hours only. Do not leave donations at the door.

Sunday: Aluminum City Terrace Bingo Committee will host bingo from 2 to 4:30 p.m. in the activity center. Doors open at 1:30 p.m. Cost: $5, includes one board, snacks and drinks; extra boards, $1 each. There will be a 50-50 raffle. Public welcome.

Oakmont

Jan. 13: The Cookbook Club at Oakmont Carnegie Library will meet from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the library, 700 Allegheny River Blvd. Stop in the library, look through this month’s cookbook, select a recipe you would like to make, and prepare and bring it to the meeting.
