Highlands High School to present spring musical

The students at Highlands High School, Harrison, will perform their spring musical, “The Addams Family: School Edition,” at 7 p.m. Friday and April 1 and 2 p.m. April 2 in the high school auditorium.

Tickets cost $12 for orchestra and mezzanine seats and $6 for the balcony. Discounts are available for Gold Card members. Tickets will be sold from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday in the auditorium lobby and will be available at the door.

Natrona Heights Post Office to host hiring fair

A hiring fair will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Natrona Heights Post Office, 1715 Union Ave., Harrison.

Representatives from several local post offices will be on hand to take applications for positions such as city carrier assistant, part-time city carrier, rural carrier associate, PSE clerk and mail handler assistant.

Teens needed for Leechburg Public Library advisory board

Leechburg Public Library is looking for students in eighth through 11th grade to serve as volunteers on a teen advisory board at the library.

The board will help to plan and implement new programs for tweens and young adults and will help out at the summer reading program and special events.

An informational meeting will be at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the library, 139 Market St. For more information, call the library at 724-236-0080.

Film to discuss opioid addiction

An educational film, “Opioid Addiction: Confessions of Pain, Misery and Destruction,” will be screened at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Casino Theater, Vandergrift.

Sponsored by Cook Medical and the Allegheny-Kiski Health Foundation, the purpose of the film is to educate people of all ages about the destructive consequences of the illegal use of opioids and other substances. It is appropriate for audiences who are at least 12 years old and is not intended for individuals who are actively using opioids or other substances.
