Vaccine, microchip clinic set at Animal Protectors

Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley will host a rabies, distemper and microchip clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the shelter, 730 Church St., New Kensington.

Cost is $20 for a 1-year rabies vaccine, $25 for a distemper vaccine and $30 for microchipping. All payments must be in cash.

Dogs must be on a non-retractable leash and cats must be in a carrier.

June 13: Our Lady, Queen of Peace Parish is selling tickets for a spring cash lottery raffle. Today: The Alle-Kiski Valley Historical Society’s Flea-Tique antique and collectible show will open the season from daybreak to 1 p.m. at the Bull Creek Tour-Ed Mine site, off Bull Creek Road. The event is held rain or shine on the third Sunday of each month May through October. No pets are permitted. Customer parking: $3 per vehicle. June 13: A car show will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at Christ the King Parish, 125 Park Lane, as part of the Leechburg 175th anniversary celebration. Check-in will begin at 3 p.m. There will be food, music and a 50-50. Legacy awards will be awarded based on historic Leechburg car dealerships. Cost: $10 in advance; $15, at the gate. June 14: The Kiskiminetas Watershed Association will sponsor an Anything That Floats Regatta from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Families and groups are encouraged to bring their most creative float-worthy craft and float on the Kiski River from the Leechburg Firehall to the Riverfront Park canoe and kayak launch. Lower Burrell
