Food drive planned in Oakmont

Lori Hummel of Howard Hanna Real Estate, Oakmont, will sponsor a Thanksgiving food drive through Wednesday at Fox’s Pizza Den, 314 Allegheny River Blvd., Oakmont.

Hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays, and noon to 8 p.m. Sundays. A wrap-up party will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Nov. 20 at Fox’s.

Most need items include Giant Eagle gift cards for turkeys, flour, sugar, canned pumpkin, vegetables, fruit and sweet potatoes, boxed stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, turkey gravy, baking spices, cereal and pie filling. Collected items will be given to the Riverview Community Action Corp. Food Bank and the Rosedale Food Pantry. Monetary donations will be accepted to purchase Thanksgiving meal gift cards for those impacted by the Rustic Ridge home explosions in Plum.
